Bones: The Passenger in the Oven

I can't say that I enjoyed this episode as much as some people seem to. Don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, but it reminded me too much of the episode of House: Airborne. I think they tried to be creative and fresh, but it fell short a little bit, I think. However they put the focus on the mystery of the murder, which I am grateful for.


The writing was a great as ever. I find myself laughing more and more with each new episode of the season. The sexy librarian scene was hilarious. And I always love when Patricia Belcher(Caroline Julian) is around, she always manages to steal the scene.

Like I said, I like this episode, but not as much as some people do. I think it was on par with some of the better episodes of the series, but it didn't really stand out to me. Maybe I need to rewatch it, I may have missed something.

Bones meets Seeley's little brother


Yes! Awesome episode. Hands down the best episode so far this season, and could possibly go down as one of the series best. It's definitely going down as a personal favorite of mine. It pretty much had everything that a fan wants in an episode of Bones.


In one episode we learn more about Booth than we have in the entire series. It was very clever and well done the way they approached it. It fit well with the story and the sub plots and was not over done.

Eugene Byrd returns this episode as Dr. Clark Edison. The first couple times he was on the show I really didn't enjoy his character, but now he is starting to grow on me. I thought his character was used perfectly in this episode. He was part of the comic relief, but not, at the same time. The guy has great comedic timing. I can't imagine him as a series regular. Right now his character is so not interesting enough for that, but he is perfect in his recurring role.

I'll have to admit when I first heard that Brendan Fehr(Roswell) would be guest starring, in this episode, as Seeley's little brother, Jared, I wasn't excited about that. I'm not Brendan Fehr's biggest fan, but I have to concede that he was very good in his role. His appearance is a big reason why so much is revealed about Seeley.

One last thing, I have to give big kudos the writer of this episode for writing a fantastic murder mystery into the story. It had so many great reveals and twists with a very intense climax. It was on of the most exciting cases they've solved on the show.

Bones: The Skull in the Sculpture

I thought this episode had some of the best dialogue that has ever been on the show. Seriously, there were jokes and funny moments non stop. I loved the dialogue.

Carla Gallo returned this week as Daisy Wick, one of Dr. Brennan's Grad students. She was previously in the episode "Man in the Outhouse". I didn't much care for her character then, but I did enjoy her a little bit more this episode. Perhaps because she was given some decent dialogue and character development, this time.

There is also some development with Angela and how she is dealing with her split with Hodgins. Her scenes with Dr. Sweets were very revealing and they acted well together, I thought.

Even though the dialogue was top notch the murder mystery wasn't. It was tied in with some of the character development, but the mystery itself wasn't all that intriguing. It could have been so much more. Seriously, they need to go back to season one where the focus was more on the mystery, it's what made the show popular in the first place. They are focusing to much on the character drama. You can successfully blend the two, but this season they aren't doing it on this show very well.

Bones: The Crank in the Shaft

This was an okay episode. Nothing really wrong with it, but nothing really exciting either. However, I thought the dialogue was particularly clever and witty. There were several funny moments. The episode was written by Elizabeth Benjamin who also wrote The Santa in the Slush, which is regarded as one of the best episodes

Bones: The Perfect Pieces in the Purple Pond

Dr. Addy is back(for now) and ready to help solve the case


Well this episode changes the way I feel about the season finale. Not much, but still a little bit. The reveal at the end of the episode with Dr. Addy and Dr. Sweets actually made me yell "No Way!" And now, having a chance to think about the reveal, I realize that it opens up a huge story line involving Dr. Addy. Huge and exciting

Bones: Man in the Outhouse

Booth and Bones enlist the help of a stalker


We finally get the return of classic Bones. In this episode a corpse of a reality TV show host is found in an out-house. The suspects are aplenty and this episode brings it right down to the wire with the "who did it". This is the kinda of episode that made the series popular in the first place. The scene at the end with Booth and Brennan in to see Dr. Sweets was just awesome. I was/am a huge fan of Buffy and Angel and I thought it was going to be hard to not see David Boreanaz as anyone but Angel. But props to Boreanaz he has done a remarkable job of creating this new character. I really didn't think he had the acting skills to do it
