I love this show, but even I will admit that the show had a pretty slow and rocky start. I wanted so much to like it when it first hit the air. At first the story lines of each episode were too, for lack of a better word, silly. Almost every episode had me scratching my head saying, at least once: "Really?" Even for a science fiction show, it was hard to swallow what they were trying to explain and investigate.

All that turned around for me once I saw episode 10: Safe. As soon as I was done viewing the episode I said: "That's what this show should have been doing from the beginning". That episode was a big turning point for the show. It was on a steady incline from that moment on. Now the show is easily one of my favorites on television right now.

So why do I like it so much? Well, right now I say: What's not to like?(if you're a fan on the genre) It's intriguing, it's mysterious with a little bit of horror thrown in. I laugh out loud at least a couple times per episode.

The cast has come together beautifully. They all have great on screen chemistry. Especially Joshua Jackson and John Noble, who play Father and Son. I swear John Noble better get an Emmy nomination or something for his role on this show. The emotion range he portrays is nothing short of extraordinary.

I am absolutely stoked for the next season. The season finale kicked the show into next gear and has set up a very expansive story for us to get read for.

Fringe: Safe

December 4th 2008 19:30

This is the kind of episode people were expecting from Fringe from the beginning. What a great episode. It was exciting and intense. It mislead the audience, leaving us guessing to the very end and gave us an incredible cliffhanger. If they[the creative teams] can keep this quality up, they're going to have one amazing show on their hands.

The banter between Peter and Walter seemed much better this episode because it was truer to their characters. I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to me that Walter insinuates so much about Peter that there is already an insane mystery surrounding Peter that we can't quite grasp yet.

Jared Harris returns, in this episode, as David Jones who becomes a much bigger part of the story than we originally anticipated. I thought he gave a great performance. He was so intense but it was subtle at the same time.

I hope they can keep this caliber of film making up with this show. If they do they aren't going to worry about ratings.

Fringe: The Dreamscape

Well, I didn't enjoy this episode as much as I have the last couple, but this one still had a lot of good stuff in it. Some of our suspicions were confirmed by the Latino guy they apprehended toward the end. So I guess the major plot now is going to be trying to take down Massive Dynamic. I wonder when they will introduce William Bell, or maybe, Nina Sharp is really William Bell in disguise. That would be crazy! but also ridiculous.

I see Zack Whedon, brother of Joss Whedon, got a writing credit on this episode. I hope to see more of his work. He has talent that will only grow if he continues to get big gigs like this.

Also we get a huge lunge forward with one of Peter Bishop's story lines. In my opinion, I think that Joshua Jackson is the most consistent in his performances. They are always very solid and I think he has done a great job of creating such a mysterious, but likable character, at the same time. And his on screen chemistry with John Noble is great.

Anyway, I'm excited to see the direction the show will go in after this episode.

Fringe: The Equation

Well, Walter continues to get the absolute best lines of the whole cast. While that is very true, this episode John Noble shows a much wider acting range than just being humorous. It was written that way and he did not disappoint

Fringe: In Which We Meet Mr. Jones

Well this episode is going down as the best one so far, in the series, in my opinion. So far, in the show, there hasn't been as much of an intensity or excitement that should be there. This episode changes that. There was a genuine intensity that really had me on the edge of my seat. The direction of this episode was just superb. It had great timing on everything, with perfect placement of the humor. The great editing also played a big part in making this episode much more thrilling than the others

Fringe: The Cure

This show has a lot going for it. It has a compelling premise, strong, likable characters and great writing. Even though it has all of those elements it seem like, each episode falls just short of exiting enough

Fringe: Power Hungry

Well this episode get a big fat MEH, from me. I still like this show a lot over all, but this episode was pretty lackluster. The premise for the episode was promising enough, but I thought it got a little silly when they brought the pigeons on. The end was very good though, after the case had been resolved. I think that redeemed the episode from going from lackluster to dull. The over arcing character story lines need to get more in depth, in my opinion, if they want solidify their fan base

Fringe: The Arrival

Every time I start watching a new show I wait for the episode that presents the audience with something that really roots their interest in the show. Something that makes you say "Things just got interesting" I believe this was that episode for Fringe. It was for me anyway

Fringe:The Ghost Network

The team investigates some more crazy stuff

I was hoping for a little bit more progress with the underlying story and character arcs, that have already been presented to us the audience, but this episode is pretty self contained. However we do get a little of info on Agent Scott's fate at the end. We're also teased a little bit on what kind of relationship Broyles has with Nina Sharp and Massive Dynamics. They're obviously working together, but to what end, we aren't told. This episode tossed out a lot of questions

Fringe: The Same Old Story

Compared to last week's explosive premier I though the follow up was a little slow. However I do think that this episode does a better job of showing the audience what the show is really going to be like

Fringe Series Premier

Just say no to drugs

I was lucky enough to stumble across an advanced screening of the pilot episode of Fringe. It was one of the strongest pilot episodes I've ever seen. It's basic premise deals with Fringe Science, stuff that is on the verge of break-through. It's not just dealing with fantastical science but science that could become reality very soon
