House: Let Them Eat Cake

December 3rd 2008 19:00
Best. Prank. Ever.

Well, this episode was a big step up from the last one. It had good sub plots and a some what intriguing medical mystery. And the best prank ever. Seriously, I did not see that coming.

There was a lot of character development in this episode. Usually I find the character development kinda boring, but the development in this episode actually served to further some of the story lines as well. We find out a lot about Dr. Hadley's past with her mother and the relationship between House and Cuddy takes a step forward and then backward.

I do have a couple problems with the episode though. Even though it lead to a hilarious climax, since when is Kutner stupid enough to set up a medical advice website under House's name? Seriously, he wouldn't have done something like that. Also, since when was Dr. Cuddy's office destroyed to the point it needed complete renovation? From what I remember, there was some blood on the wall, maybe a bullet hole, and some writing on the wall with permanent marker and then some furniture got moved around. Nothing that warranted complete renovation. So the whole Cuddy has to use House's office thing was very contrived.

House: Last Resort

November 26th 2008 04:21

As I was watching this episode I wasn't sure how I felt about it. There were good parts and bad parts. How I feel about the episode, overall, was decided the second House gave the gun back to Jason. At that point the episode was ruined for me. I'm sorry to the people who like this episode, cause I know more people will like this episode than not, but this was a "jump the shark" moment for me. Are the writers that desperate to show how obsessed Dr. House can be? I know House will do anything to solve a case, but this was too much. Risking other people's lives like that? They tried to explain that's exactly why he gave the gun back, because he's obsessed, but he knows when to stop. The whole episode was a contrived mess. Sure it was intense and had great drama, but more like something you'd see on E.R., not an episode of House.

There were however, some redeeming qualities to the episode. We finally get some where with Thirteen's story line when she tells Foreman she wants to be apart of the drug trials. Also I very much enjoyed Zeljko Ivanek's(Jason) performance. He recently won an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor for his role on Damages.

Aside from those things I could not enjoy any other aspect of this episode, it was just way too over the top for me.

House: Emancipation

November 19th 2008 04:15

I think I speak for most House fans, correct me if I'm wrong, when I say we love a compelling medical mystery to be the focus of an episode of House. And that is just what we got in this episode.

The mystery aspect of this episode was one of the best of the series. There were so many twists, none of which seemed contrived. When Thirteen went to find the patient's parents and found someone else I was like son of a b****, no way!

I wasn't a big fan of the patient though, guest star Emily Rios. I found her pretty unconvincing and mostly annoying. However the scene at the end with her parents was surprisingly touching. I did love, however, the sub plot with Foreman and the sick kid. Those child actors were amazing. Especially the older brother. It was one of most honest performances I've seen from a child actor on a television show.

It was also great to see Foreman interacting with Chase and Cameron again this episode. I love seeing those three together on screen so I cherish every moment they get screen time together.

House: The Itch

November 12th 2008 04:28

This episode picks up right where the last one left off and deals with the after math of House's kiss with Cuddy. I thought they handled it perfectly with how House chooses to deal with the situation. There was a great subtly with Hugh Laurie's performance in this episode. He really knows what to do with his character

House: Joy

Well this episode was a big step up from the last one, but still this episode wasn't as powerful as it could have been. On paper this episode looks really interesting and dramatic

House: Lucky Thirteen

Well despite being mostly boring, this episode was kinda revealing. We do get a little incite to how Thirteen is dealing with her Huntingtons. Dr. Foreman also gets to step into the spot light a little bit, which I really enjoyed

House: Birthmarks

This episode has a lot going for it. I mean talk about reveal after reveal. We find out(FINALLY) how House and Wilson met and became friends. House's dad wasn't his real dad. House ringtone for his team is Mmbop by Hanson, which is awesome

House: Adverse Events

October 1st 2008 03:26

Ever since the premier the show has stepped up the character development and conflict between House and his fellows. It has made the show more interesting, but I think the the whole creative team is trying too hard to stir up the conflict because they know it will get more people watching. I could be wrong, but that's what I see

House: Not Cancer

House hires a private investigator

The episode begins with a montage of different people doing various activities and one by one they begin to collapse from seemingly unknown causes. It was a cool opening, but it went on for a little long and I thought: Get to the point! And as soon as I thought that; it totally got to the point. It was amazing
