Prison Break Season Premier

I was expecting to be taken for a great ride with the season premier. It delivered that and more. There were several things that I viewed as weaknesses as I was watching, like some of the twists, but as the plot progressed it was clear that those were tied together nicely and left no holes that I could see. There were still some things that I thought were weak, such as: There are always huge setbacks and you think, how are they going to get past this but then they get a stroke of good luck and everything works out for a while. But Prison Break has always incorporated that into the plots, even from episode 1.
The premier wasted no time in getting straight to the action. There are several twists, one of which all hardcore fans already knew, but that still didn't lessen the emotional impact. Some times you are watching a movie and the twist seems to really ruin your enjoyment of the film or movie *cough* Shyamalan *cough*, but the twists in these episodes really worked to move the plot forward.
We are introduced to several new characters, which are integrated into the story seamlessly. I'm interested to see what kind of character development we get from Agent Self. I'm also very intrigued by the "Gadget Guy"
Now that I've given the episodes a lot of praise there are a couple big things that bugged me. First, Sona burning down? Weak. After everything that happened in the season finale, with Sucre getting thrown in and T-Bag's new leadership. It seems lame that they got out because it burned down. It's like the writers said: Okay we need Sucre, T-bag and Bellick out of Sona to join up with the rest of the group, how do we do that? Easy, burn it the hell down. Second thing, what in the world is Bellick still doing on the show? Is the character that popular, cause I really don't care for him. His character was a great antagonist in the first season. Second season his character still had a pretty strong story to follow, but he has done nothing since he entered Sona. His character arc pretty much ended then, in my opinion.
Overall I thought this was a great season opener. If they can keep up the action they did in these couple episodes the rest of the season is going to be epic.
