Prison Break: Quiet Riot

November 18th 2008 04:37

This was a classic episode. It had the intensity that takes me back to season one.

The scene(s) where they everyone has gone silent and we[the audience] just watch everything happen with out a real explanation of what needs to happen and who will do what, is one of, if not THE, coolest things they've ever done on the show. It was an amazing piece of film making. But gosh dang it why did it have to end when it did?! That was another classic Prison Break move. 24 does it too, it drives me crazy.

I guess I really don't have anything negative to mention. More like a question. Why was Michael the one to go out on the bridge to remove the glass and get Scylla? Everyone, including him, knew he could spaz and fall. Why would they risk that?

So what I'm interested in is, they've gotten to Scylla in 11 episodes, a half a season basically, so what now, they've got a whole other half of a season to expand everything that is going on. So what is next, what complex twists and reveals await us?

Prison Break: The Legend

November 11th 2008 04:57

Well, I was very wrong about the my prediction that Riley, on Terminator:TSCC, would be a crucial part of the story. I also made the same prediction about Shannon Lucio character, Trishanne, in this show. I was, however, not wrong with that prediction. I need to be a little bit more careful with spoilers in my TV blogs, so I'll just say that there is a big reveal in this episode that shows that she is a much bigger part of the story than she appeared. I kinda wish they would have teased us a little bit with her role. maybe dropped some clues. I mean they did drop a clue in this episode, but then the big reveal was only a little bit after that.

They finally start getting deeper into what is on every fan's mind this season. And that is: what is going on with Michael's heath. Yeah we knew something was wrong and that his mom died after showing the same symptoms. This episode actually comes right out and says what is wrong so know we can start working toward the resolution. I've read some spoilers for this season(I know, I can't help myself) and the resolution of this sub-plot will take us very far from where we are now. let's just say that Michael's condition plays a much bigger part in future episodes.

Over all this had several classic Prison Break moments. Including putting you on the edge of your seat and the cutting to a commercial just before a big moment. Even though I think the way everyone is acting about Bellick's death is a little contrived, the scene at the end, when Sucre calls his mom was incredibly touching, help along by a fantastic score that was very Michael Giacchino-ish. If you don't know who that is, look him up on ImDb or Itunes and thanks me later.

Prison Break: Greatness Achieved

November 6th 2008 01:15

Greatness Achieved indeed, wow. Huge things happen in this episode. Two in particular.

The Wyatt/Mahone story line comes to a very powerful climax and resolution. I feel very satisfied with the resolution. It was emotional and extremely well acted by William Fichtner. Now I wonder what is in store for his character.

Brad Bellick makes his departure from the story as he makes the ultimate sacrifice to help the group achieve their goal. The writer and director of this episode do a phenomenal job at making the scene a very powerful and emotional one, but it leaves me wondering: What for? Yes, his sacrifice was meaningful and selfless, but he was nothing but a huge antagonist for the main characters in the first two seasons, then just a pain in the butt in the 3rd season. How could his death affect the others so much, well effect Lincoln at least? Out of all the characters, Linc and Bellick spent the least time together. I guess the writers knew they had to send him off with a bang.

Overall this was a momentous episode. A few things resolved and a few new things started, allowing the show to move forward at a great pace.

Prison Break: The Price

October 21st 2008 23:48

After being absent for a week Prison Break returns with one of the best episodes of the series. I can't believe how many twist and turns they managed to put into this episode. Sucre gets shot, Wyatt is captured by the team, Roland betrays the team and is killed by Wyatt. If you had told me before hand, that all of these things will happen in this episode, I wouldn't have believed you

This episode was not as intense as the show usually is, but it was still a very memorable episode thanks to some pretty funny moments and clever twists

Prison Break: Blow Out

Typically I hate this phrase, but at the end of the episode I said "Oh, Snap!" It was appropriate I thought

Michael and Linc break into a safe to obtain the third card

The reason I am only just now getting my review for Prison Break up is well, because I had to choose Between Prison Break or Heroes. Obviously I chose the later, and it seems that a lot of other people did too. Thank goodness for Bittorrent

T-Bag starts a new job

This was a slow episode compared to last week's, but we do get a lot of information presented to us. A lot of things happen that are setting up big moments in episodes to come, so look forward to that

Prison Break Season 4, Episode 3

September 9th 2008 03:31
How will he get out of this one?

This episode was a big step up from last week's season premier. Last episode we found out that there were six cards they must find and put together to get all of the information they need to take down "The Company". I thought this episode did a much better job to pull you into this season's plot than the season opener did
