Smallville: Abyss

Words cannot describe how amazing I thought this episode was. I have nothing but good things to talk about. This will definitely go down as one of my all time favorite episodes.
The entire episode was incredibly emotional, especially for a long time watcher like me. I found myself with misty eyes more than once. I remember the when Clark talked about that day in the barn when Chloe first moved to Smallville and to see the actually moment portray on film was great. Whomever cast those children as the young Clark and Chloe gets a gold star. They were perfect in that scene.
Also, the two scenes when Clark is talking to Jor-El in the Fortress were just superb. For a long time, it seemed to me, that Tom Welling was on auto pilot with his performances, but it has been anything but that in this season. The first scene with Jor-El was sheer power, it was almost as if I could just feel the Superman aura emanating from my television set. Some of you may think that I am going a little over the top with that, but to me Superman is more than just a comic book character, he is a symbol of my desire to do good. That is why he was sent to earth, to be an influence for good. They have been portraying that aspect of the character of Superman, this season, so well that has held me captive and Tom Welling is doing a better job of portraying Superman than I ever thought he could.
