Smallville: Bloodline

November 7th 2008 04:35

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is what Smallville should have been doing several seasons ago, delving deeper, with each episode, into the superman mythology.

I really liked this episode, mainly because it revealed a lot about who Davis Bloome really is, and that is the Superman villain, Doomsday. I'm actually surprised at the attention to detail and how faithful Caroline Dries(the writer for this episode) was to the character of Doomsday. Those of us who are real Superman fans know what I am talking about.

Also, of course, there was another step forward in the eventual relationship of Lois and Clark. I love how subtle the show is being about their future. The show used to beat us over the head with inside jokes and lines about them being together one day, but now that they are actually working toward it, the inside stuff is more appropriate.
