The premier for The Office is more like a highlight reel, chronicling what they did over their summer. i was hoping for more of a real episode, one that picked up, like, a couple months after the finale ended, instead of some kind of recap type episode. It was still very funny and had classic awkward moments. There were other great moments as well. I loved, LOVED how Jim finally proposed to Pam. It was spontaneous, unexpected and sooooo Jim.
After the way things ended with Ryan, I thought the way they kept him part of the show was a bit contrived. They obviously couldn't lose the character so they bring him back on as a temp again? I honestly don't think Ryan would have come back.
Amy Ryan(Holly) is a great addition to the cast right now. She is an very talented actress. I loved her scenes with Oscar, they were very natural. She fits right in.
I was a little worried there that they were going to try and create some conflict between Jim and Pam to drag out that story line. I say that because a couple times they showed Pam interacting with this one guy at school and it seemed like they were trying to show us that some kind of connection was happening there. Who knows though, they might try and bring up something to create some drama with Jim and Pam, but they better be dang careful about how they do it. If they do it at all.
