Prison Break: Quiet Riot

November 18th 2008 04:37

This was a classic episode. It had the intensity that takes me back to season one.

The scene(s) where they everyone has gone silent and we[the audience] just watch everything happen with out a real explanation of what needs to happen and who will do what, is one of, if not THE, coolest things they've ever done on the show. It was an amazing piece of film making. But gosh dang it why did it have to end when it did?! That was another classic Prison Break move. 24 does it too, it drives me crazy.

I guess I really don't have anything negative to mention. More like a question. Why was Michael the one to go out on the bridge to remove the glass and get Scylla? Everyone, including him, knew he could spaz and fall. Why would they risk that?

So what I'm interested in is, they've gotten to Scylla in 11 episodes, a half a season basically, so what now, they've got a whole other half of a season to expand everything that is going on. So what is next, what complex twists and reveals await us?

Chuck: Chuck Versus the Fat Lady

November 18th 2008 04:20

Well, I can honestly say I didn't see the twist coming at the end. I saw it coming about a minute before the reveal when they were scanning through all the Fulcrum agents. I knew that they had be bringing Chuck's ex-girlfriend back for something big, and big, it certainly is. While this was a superb episode, with several great sequences, I do have some issues with it.

Such as the scene at the Opera House where they find the box with the musical puzzle in it. So they find this box with who knows what in it and they rush it on stage, in front of everyone who is there rehearsing, and just open it? Seriously?! They knew some one was after the same thing. No one thought to discretely leave with the box and open it else where? But then we wouldn't have had the contrived intensity where it might be a bomb. I usually do a pretty good job of suspending belief in moments like these,(Chuck isn't the only show guilty of these kind of moments) but this was just too much.

Okay, onto the positive stuff

I swear, Tony Hale (Emmett Milbarge) gets better with every episode. I didn't like his character at first, but he is growing on me. Also I like how the Buy More sub plots are getting to where they are actually significant to the main character. The sequences at the end when John and Sarah are running to get to Chuck was very cool and a little intense.

Anyway, I can't wait till next week's episode, I can't wait to get the whole story of Jill. Viva Buymordia!

This may be a difficult episode to review because it is the first of a two parter. It was still a very good episode was great moments, I guess I'll talk about those.

My favorite scene was definitely when Sam and Dean meet Anna, played by guest star Julie McNiven at the church. I don't know why, but that was a very powerful scene to me. When she talked about what she has over heard the Angels say about Sam and Dean was a very well written scene.

Mostly this episode served to reveal what was going on with Sam while Dean was in hell. We could have done without some of those scenes because they had already insinuated or talked about most of what happened. The only thing we didn't already know was that Ruby had saved Sam's life. That was important, but everything else we knew already.

Anyway, if Supernatural keeps this caliber of episode quality up, this season will be legend. Seriously, because of how good this season has been, word of mouth for this show has doubled. It's ratings are up and it's funny because other popular show's ratings are slipping and everybody wonders why? Take a leaf out of Supernatural's book and MAKE BETTER EPISODES!

Bones meets Seeley's little brother

Yes! Awesome episode. Hands down the best episode so far this season, and could possibly go down as one of the series best. It's definitely going down as a personal favorite of mine. It pretty much had everything that a fan wants in an episode of Bones

Fringe: In Which We Meet Mr. Jones

November 12th 2008 04:45

Well this episode is going down as the best one so far, in the series, in my opinion. So far, in the show, there hasn't been as much of an intensity or excitement that should be there. This episode changes that. There was a genuine intensity that really had me on the edge of my seat. The direction of this episode was just superb. It had great timing on everything, with perfect placement of the humor. The great editing also played a big part in making this episode much more thrilling than the others

House: The Itch

November 12th 2008 04:28

This episode picks up right where the last one left off and deals with the after math of House's kiss with Cuddy. I thought they handled it perfectly with how House chooses to deal with the situation. There was a great subtly with Hugh Laurie's performance in this episode. He really knows what to do with his character

Prison Break: The Legend

November 11th 2008 04:57

Well, I was very wrong about the my prediction that Riley, on Terminator:TSCC, would be a crucial part of the story. I also made the same prediction about Shannon Lucio character, Trishanne, in this show. I was, however, not wrong with that prediction. I need to be a little bit more careful with spoilers in my TV blogs, so I'll just say that there is a big reveal in this episode that shows that she is a much bigger part of the story than she appeared. I kinda wish they would have teased us a little bit with her role. maybe dropped some clues. I mean they did drop a clue in this episode, but then the big reveal was only a little bit after that

Chuck: Chuck Versus the Ex

November 11th 2008 04:24

This episode is easily one of the best of the series so far. It was fun and elaborate and the best disguises, so far, ensue. I absolutely loved the restaurant scene, I thought it was one of the best directed scenes so far in the show

Supernatural: Wishful Thinking

November 7th 2008 05:01
When I saw the teaser for this episode, after last week's episode, I actually thought it was a little silly and wasn't really looking forward to this episode... I should have known better than to think that. With how awesome this season has been, how could I have thought that?

Even though they have never done an episode like this at all, it still had everything we have have come to love in an episode. Especially the humor. Seriously, Teddy Bear Doctors? Who thinks up this stuff. Ben Edlund that's who. He has already written several great episodes of Supernatural as well as been a writer on Firefly and Angel. He wrote what is widely regarded, and in my opinion, the best episode of Angel: Smile Time. I am a huge fan of this guy

Smallville: Bloodline

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is what Smallville should have been doing several seasons ago, delving deeper, with each episode, into the superman mythology

I thought this episode had some of the best dialogue that has ever been on the show. Seriously, there were jokes and funny moments non stop. I loved the dialogue

Well this was the first episode of the season that has been a little disappointing for me. It was a pretty poor script, in my opinion. The dialogue was still up to par, but it was a poorly crafted script

Smallville: Identity

This is what Smallville should have been doing seasons ago. This is the kind of stuff that fans of the show and of Superman want to see. Clark embracing his role as a hero

Well this episode was a big step up from the last one, but still this episode wasn't as powerful as it could have been. On paper this episode looks really interesting and dramatic

Chuck: Chuck Versus Tom Sawyer

October 28th 2008 03:38

Well this is the first episode of the season that has been a little bit of a let down. It got too far fetched and wasn't as charming and witty as it usually is. Playing a video game to get some codes to a satellite? Come on, who puts a code to a satellite in a video game? Who does that? It just got a too silly there toward the end

Supernatural: Yellow Fever

October 24th 2008 03:54
I think this episode could be the funniest episode they've ever done. By funniest I mean: It had more funny moments than any other episode. The cat in the locker scene had me rolling, and the outtake after the episode was just spectacular. This could probably be Jensen Ackles best performance on the show to date. I mean seriously it take some major acting chops to do what he did in this episode.

I better move on because I could keep going like that for a while
